Multiple Personalities
April 1, 2008I came home from work today to wait for a delivery and found four deer and five squirrels eating from the birdfeeders – there were no birds. The deer and squirrels not only think they are birds, but both apparently think they are gardeners too. The deer spend the year pruning our bushes and flowers and the squirrels plant walnuts and Ohio buckeyes (the nuts, not the football players) in our yard. As a result, we are constantly pulling nut tree seedlings from unwanted locations in the yard, and our flowers lack the display attributes they strive for. After snapping this picture, I rushed out the back door yelling. That scared the crap out of them. I do thank them for leaving some fertilizer behind.
